Dandelion root benefits

The most discriminated plant in America is the dandelion. Before I knew what weeds were people were constantly talking about the dandelions are taking over. Nature has never failed us and will put things in our path that will help us. Interesting enough you can find dandelion your root in your yard you just have to dig it up, clean it and put it in your oven on the lowest temperature for hours. Or you can purchase it in a chopped up form, supplements, powders, tinctures etc. The roots contain calcium, chlorine, flavonoids (lutein, luteolin, flavoxanthin, violaxanthin etc), mucilage, pectin, tannin, etc

It is also contains in antioxidants which help reduce free radicals. Free radicals are a natural part of cell metabolism. But too many of them causes of oxidative stress which is damaging. Anytime there is free radicals there is some form of inflammation. Think of free radicals as fire🔥 antioxidants as water 💦.

You can make dandelion tea as well it has a earthy coffee taste. Dandelion root is good for digestion, prebiotic, constipation, indigestion, bloating, gas etc. It is a diuretic so it will help cleanse out your blood super good for water retention..  Well at the same time it can help with migraines or headaches.  Helps improve skin conditions if taken internally or externally. The condition of your skin is a reflection on what's going on in your blood. Because of blood is underneath all of the skin. Put the roots in some oil such as oliver, grape seed, avocado, coconut etc for a few weeks. The properties of the plant will infuse into the oil and you can use this on your skin.
