Cucumbers benefits
Slice your way up to better health with cucumbers. Anything that contains or has seeds on it is considered a fruit. This plant has been used for thousands of years and there are 100’s of varieties of cucumber. If you get these in daily you will feel so much better. Pickles are actually cucumbers fermented in water, vinegar, spices, salt and herbs. You could put them in juices, smoothies, salads, make infused water etc. If you haven’t tried infused cucumber water you don’t know what you are missing. All you need is water and cucumbers put it in the refrigerator for a few hours.
We are what we consume but we are was inside of what we are consuming. Typically we are consuming items that are high in calories and low in nutrients. Which forces the body to constantly eat throughout the day to get any more nutrients.
They contain antioxidants which help reduce free radicals. Free radicals are a natural part of cell metabolism. But too many of them causes of oxidative stress which is damaging. Anytime there is free radicals there is some form of inflammation. Think of free radicals as fire🔥 antioxidants as water 💦.
Melons, cucumbers and pumpkins are in the Cucurbitaceae family. These plants have a decent amount of copper, manganese, vitamin b5 and vitamin k in them. The green is a sign that is chlorophyll/ vitamin k but inside of the chlorophyll is magnesium. Magnesium helps the body do over 300 plus different functions. Cucumber have diuretic effects which is good for water retention and kidney function.

Manganese is essential to help vitamin K with blood clotting. Needed to metabolize Amino acids, carbohydrates, cholesterol and carbohydrates. Part of superoxide dismutase (SOD) which helped break down free radicals and speeds up certain chemical reactions. Regulates blood sugars and helps with calcium absorption. Helps make thyroid hormone thyroxine t4.
Vitamin B5 pantothenic acid is 1/8 of the essential vitamin B complex. Makes and maintains myelin sheath (should be looked into further for multiple sclerosis MS) Is essential for red blood cell production. Helps break down carbohydrates and fats into energy. Vitamin K is notorious for helping assist blood clots (prothrombin) But it should be more notorious for helping reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Because vitamin K helps put calcium in the bone. Otherwise calcium floats freely and becomes lost all over the body especially in the arteries/ heart.
