Sea moss benefits
If you have not heard of sea moss by now I will be surprised. Rastafarians / Irish people have been using sea moss for countless years. But it was made world famous by the honorable Dr. Sebi. You can consumers in a gel, powder, supplements, tinctures, bitters, teas etc. Since it comes from the ocean it will have that ocean/fishy smell and taste. There are hundreds of different types of sea moss but the most commonly used is chonodrus crispus.
This is not the same as Carrageenan which which is a extract that is used as a additive in many processed foods/drink products.
Do not get the thick stringy type of sea moss with the big salt pellets on there that is not true sea moss. If you are soaking you sea moss over night do not throw away the water. Put it in a bottle use as an fertilizer.
Anything that comes from the sea will be more nutrient dense than anything on land. The main reason why is because the sea/ oceans contains more minerals/vitamins than the land. plus the majority of oxygen we breath comes from the waters. It’s more water covering the earth than land with a lot in the water.
It also contains in antioxidants which help reduce free radicals. Free radicals are a natural part of cell metabolism. But too many of them causes of oxidative stress which is damaging. Anytime there is free radicals there is some form of inflammation. Think of free radicals as fire🔥 antioxidants as water 💦.
We become unhealthy from what we consume but we become more unhealthy from what we don’t consume. This is why we can start with our nutrition than build on top of that. Oddly enough most of us are operating on only 50% of the nutrients we need. This means we walk around chronically malnourished and don’t even know it. Vitamins and minerals play a essential part to our overall health. A deficiency in minerals / vitamins will cause a disease, disorder, illness, condition excetera. Night blindness affects many people more than likely it’s a combination of vitamin a, lutein and zeaxanthin.
See moss is great for overall energy. It has iodine which a essential mineral that helps the thyroid produce hormones Triiodothyronine (T3) and Tetraiodothyronine (T4). Triiodothyronine (T3) has 3 iodine molecules is active and Tetraiodothyronine (T4) has 4 iodine molecules it’s inactive. The thyroid produces a lot of T4 but a little T3. To make tea for active it has to travel to the liver to get converted. Selenium makes this conversion happen so it turns t4 into t3. Luckily sea moss has selenium in it. T4 / t3 controls the basal metabolic rate MBR for most of the cells. The MBR is the number of calories that the body needs to function at rest.
It has antibacterial, antifungal, auntie parasitic, antiviral etc properties. So it will help improve your immune system. Promotes healthier blood filtration and circulation. If you have joint problems see moss is the way to go. Helps reduce the uric acid that is built up for gout. Great for the nervous system especially for the neurons, memory, focus, alertness etc. Good for helping the body detoxify yourself sorry it promotes a better kidney / liver. It’s great for fertility, low libido, boost testosterone etc.
Assists with digestion, constipation, bloating, gas, acid reflux, reduces candida overgrowth, fiber aka prebiotics etc. A prebiotic is fiber which one exist in fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, nuts, seeds etc. Fiber is not found in any form of meat I’m talking about seafood, fried kangaroo pouch, chicken, boiled platypus beak/ tail, beef, snake scales, pork, BBQ turtle back, bison, smoked patrick starfish legs, turkey, stir goose neck, elf, deer etc.
You whole digestive tract from your mouth to your anus has microbiota. Which has bacteria, fungi, viruses etc which have good and bad functions. Whenever the bad functions happen problems will happen. You may have heard of someone having H pyloi or candida. The majority of people have H pyloi and everyone has candida. It's the overgrowth of these bacteria that are the problem.
Prebiotics is what the bacteria mainly feeds on, probiotics are the bacteria and postbiotics are the byproducts of probiotics. Examples of postbiotics byproducts are bacterial lysates (bacteria compounds) , cell wall fragments, cell-free supernatants (bacteria and yeast compounds), exopolysaccharides, lipopolysaccharides, serotonin (90% of the production), short-chain fatty acids ,Vitamin B1 thiamine, Vitamin B5 panthotenic acid, Vitamin B7 biotin, Vitamin B9 folate, Vitamin K etc.
Interesting enough they have build a $50,000,000,000 plus industry mainly based off of people being uneducated or miseducated on their health. This is why education has to become a mandatory it shouldn't be seen as optional.
Fiber is a carbohydrate that has 4 calories. Over 90% of people do not get into fiber in daily. There are 3 forms of fiber soluble, insoluble and resistance starch but we will focus on the first two. Soluble fiber dissolves in water and insoluble doesn’t. Soluble fiber creates a gel when it dissolves also is good for cholesterol and sugar. Insoluble fiber attracts water into your feces that makes it softer and more simple to defecate without stain. Besides not getting enough fiber not getting enough water leads to constipation. Insoluble fiber also helps increase insulin sensitivity.
Plants usually contain a mixture of both types. It’s mixed views on if you should count fiber for or against your total calorie intake. Since soluble fiber feeds the bacteria some say it should be counted towards are total calories. Some say even with that it shouldn’t count towards are total calories but substracted. To keep it safe instead of multiplying 4 calories per gram with fiber multiple by 1.5 or 2.
I have the sea moss in capsules.
